SyncDroid is a free service that enables you to backup the entire content of your Android either by storing it on the phone itself, connecting it to a PC, or syncing it with a cloud service like DropBox.
It's a useful tool for creating backups and doing system restores, and with it you can save all sorts of content: anything from your call log, phonebook, or received messages to the content stored by third parties like DropBox, not to mention all your multimedia files in the form of photos, videos, and audio.
In terms of how it works, you'll see a list divided into categories with all the files you can save as well as the number of items each one has.
You can also program the app to do automatic backups every so often, the best protection in case you need to recover lost data.
The official SyncDroid app is ideal to use with Windows and is as simple as connecting your phone to your PC via a USB cable, or setting up many more advanced options for the saving and recovery of data.
Requirements (Latest version)
- Android 3.0.x or higher required
Comments
The backup is done only on the phone memory, too bad. When will the next update offer to save to "the microSD card"?
